Texas Hunting Whitetail Deer 2009-2010: Hunt 4 Video

The final hunt of the year in Texas for us ya'll. I took Caleb out and let him do the hunting. He takes a doe with a perfect head shot at about 100 yds. He aimed for the center of the head, LOL, he got an eye. This is his second hunt of the year and the 4th large game animal that he has harvested. Its the first time he has ever shot my .270 Stevens made by Savage. Sorry for the poor footage. I had to film thru my binoculars and lost quality. I'll be eating my tags!!! man i would go crazy if i missed anytime to hunt, but life happens! we have some really nice bucks on the property this year, we had one really big 10 point that was illegally shot last season, but we dealt with that after the a*****e was bragging about it at one of our local bars, but this year so far we have spotted a few 6 pointers 3 good 8's and the one bruiser we saw two days ago on the edge of the bean field and? got him at 16 points from what we could see

It was his first with this? rifle, he usually uses a .223 Rossi. But yes, hes a hell of a shot. My dad didnt hunt, so I make sure to take him all I can, cant wait for this season. I havent had a deer hunt in 2 years, keep passing them to him.

Someone taught the boy to shoot? and they did a very good job. Very well done on the shot, I dont like to see anything run after a shot and that deer fell, stone dead collapse. Good work Caleb, keep up your great shooting buddy.
